I have been using this tip lately in my home and find it to be very helpful. To unclog your bathroom pipes: If you are out of drano, don’t worry, just use clorox- it works exactly the same. Add about a half quart of clorox in the clogged pipe at night, in the morning flush it down with hot water your pipe will be unclogged just the same way as you would have used drano.
OTHER TIPS:
Dirty Drain or Small Clog Without a garbage disposal, drains can get funky pretty fast. Even with a disposal, drains need a cleaning from the gunk that builds up. Try this: pour about 1/4 cup of baking soda down the drain followed by 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Cover with an upside down cup while it fizzes. Leave for about twenty minutes and flush out with four or so cups of boiling hot water. Your drain will be clean and gunk-free. If the drain is still moving slowly and has a serious clog, instead of a harsh chemical try using your bathroom plunger to loosen up the clog-works every time!

For clogged shower drains, there is an inexpensive product to pull the hair out and eliminate the need for harsh chemicals. A flexible plastic strip about 2 ft long with ‘thorns’ along both sides will catch the hair. Push it into the drain and pull up as many times as it takes to get all the hair out. Use a tissue to clean it off each time, taking care not to cut your fingers on the thorns. It is around $3 in hardware stores and one of the drain cleaners now includes one with their products. A very cheap, very easy and very quick way to fix a clog without chemicals and waiting.
Thank you so much for this valuable tip. It’s so very good for the environment, and once the gadget is purchased will last a long time. Your comment are very welcome here, keep them coming.
